Week 1: Leaves

I am embarking on a mission. One of my best friends, Li and I are working on a photography journal of sorts. Each week we have the same theme, and them compare our different takes on them. So every Monday, you'll get to see them posted here. It is nice to have a project that I can call my own, not something I have to do but want to do.

This weeks theme was leaves. Li's is the first, mine the second. I am jealous that they have so many leaves changing where they live. It's not so colorful here yet, infact, most of the leaves are still on the trees. Enjoy.


Backstory: This past week, was emotionally rough. We had to say goodbye to a very special little friend. I found it touching that they released balloons with notes of love as they celebrated his passing, at the sunset of a very emotional day. It has made me a better mother, a more compassionate friend. I appreciate them letting me take part in their moment.
