I was so excited to hear that these two fantastic folks were engaged. I was even more excited when the bride to be called to ask me to capture their engagement shots! So exciting! Love it real. It's beautiful, and these folks just make it completely gorgeous. I think at one point while editing this session I actually sighed. So sweet. I completely loved them all and thought they did a great job. It's great to see the coming together of two families that I think the world of. Did I mention how exciting I am for these two great friends?!?

Both future bride and groom did great. They both looked classically flawless, and I thought their formal attire for the session was perfect. Great lighting and gorgeous people make a great recipe for photography. Thanks so much guys for being so easy to work with and so much fun to capture! Best of luck as your love continues to grow! Prepare yourself for a mild rant. The other day I was reading Facebook randomness and someone that I am friends with liked a post that Ashton Kutcher had retweeted about "real love". I guess this photographer wanted to capture love, because todays generation doesn't believe in it anymore. If you've listened to the latest Taylor Swift album you probably could call her the general of this army of unbelievers. I was appalled at what this photographer captured as "real love" was a series of underwear/bedroom shots. I felt violated and enraged all at the same time. Love is not lust, and the more time goes by it makes me sad for those folks wandering around that can't tell the difference.

Love is Joy. And when you're in love you radiate. 

That was my favorite part of last weekend's session with Lauren & Jesse. They radiated joy. I wanted so badly to put these images up right next to the others just to contrast how beautiful love can be when you make good choices, and find the person that fills your world with happiness. Does that mean the road won't be difficult? No. But if you have the right person, and you continue to choose to counsel together and find happiness along the journey - life can be so good. Thank you so much guys for being so photogenic and gorgeous. I don't think I've laughed that much in a while. I ended up playing with some sun flare and lighting and love how warm and cozy it ended up looking. I am so excited for the both of you and wish you the best.
