Summer Schedule 2014

Did you know? We are having a baby!

I'm sort of hugely pregnant, 26 weeks this week. We are so excited to be adding a sweet little girl to our family (though if her kicking is any indication, she might be more on the feisty side…) She will be arriving around August 18th, just in time for Luke and Kate to get settled into school, and plenty of time for us to get in a rhythm before fall gets geared up in October/November. We can't wait, though sometimes the thought of 4 kids scares me to death (Boo!), the thought that this is the last time I'll ever be pregnant makes me happy (Yay! It's been a rough one…).

It's going to be a long, hot summer, and so photography is going to be on a first come, first served basis. I am doing all sessions that I am currently committed to, but will probably only be shooting children and families in June, saving July for only senior pics and newborn sessions. I've listed some dates that I will be working in the next few weeks, so let me know if you'd like to get a session scheduled!

Hayden's Hero's Highlights

This morning, I got up and made a short trek south to the Desoto Athletic Center for a very special morning. You see, a little more than a year ago, I got to meet a very special little guy. Hayden Scott Williams was born with MECP2 which is a genetic and very rare disorder. He was only here for about 4 months before he headed back home to heaven. I've known the Burns family for as long as I can remember myself having grown up together, and I was amazed at their strength and their courage in dealing with the gain and loss of this little one. Big spirit, little body. This morning his family and friends chose to honor him by having a race to raise money and awareness for MECP2. It was a gorgeous morning. Everybody worked so hard to make it such a success, and I can't help but know that little Hayden was smiling down from heaven as he watched those he loves reaching out to others and raising money for the research that needs to be done if they are going to find a cure. Thanks Burns family. I love you guys, and truly appreciate the chance that I've had to be apart in such a small way of your your journey.

When I do a session, I always upload them, same day. It helps me sleep better and know that I've got lots of goodies to work with. Well, this afternoon I ended up doing more than planned, but I just couldn't help myself. As I perused the 600+ images, these were just some of the few that I couldn't resist playing with. Enjoy your sneak peek Hanna and fam!
