I am so excited for it to be cooling off a little bit! It means that summer is almost over, and while I love summer time, we're back to hitting the books (hooray!) and NO more packing of pool bags (double hooray!) It's great to appreciate every season I think.
A few weeks ago, I got to capture these stunning folks and wanted to share a bit of their session. They ended up being some of my favorites for the month so far. I feel so honored to have seen Mr. Alex and now baby sister grow up. It really is the best to see old faces. It makes for a relaxed and fun time. I think the world of both of these parents too. It's fun to see how much they love their babies! Enough gushing about how great these folks are. I'll let the images speak for themselves! Thanks so much H family for being so photogenic and fun to be around!

It's always great to get together with folks you knew way back when. It's really nice to see them all grown up, married and having kids. It's so much fun to get to catch up! I got to spend last Saturday getting to know these folks better. Alayna and I were friends from way back when we were in hight school and its was really cool to get to meet her husband and his sweet family.
It was the first of three large family groups that I got to work on in November and the big family shoots can be kinda tricky. You've got to make sure you get all the combos they want, you are limited on how far you can go out because it just takes so much time to move a larger group as well as the set up of all the shots. So much to think about! It used to really be stressful, but I've really enjoyed the laid back folks I've gotten to work with this fall. Good folks make great pictures.
So here's a peek for the B family. The colors were gorgeous and you guys did a great job! Thanks for taking the time to get together! There's a lot of images in this post, and their gallery is gonna have a ton as well. Just way too many good ones!

Last weekend I got to meet this new family. Their older daughter is actually in my sons class at school, so I had a good time telling lots of crazy stories about my crazy kid. He makes our life interesting. The R family had the sweetest girls. I think that sisters are so special, and I loved being able to capture their friendship. Little sister looks up to her big sister so much, it's completely adorable. The colors were beautiful when we got together and I love how their session turned out. Mom and Dad were pretty great too, so easy to chat with and easy going. It makes for a great session when mom and dad don't get easily stressed.
Thanks guys for taking the time to get together! It was great to get to know you!
Enjoy your peek!

Chad: Class of 2016
We take a break in your regularly scheduled fall family palooza to bring you a couple of seniors that I shot last weekend. I think these both turned out fantastic! The fall colors, amazing. This time of year is my most favorite to work in. Hands down!
I have been friends with Chad's family for years, so it's kinda crazy to think of him as a senior. Graduation is looming pretty large in his future. I've always been impressed with the kid. He's got his head on straight and is oh so talented. He can pretty a musical genius. Thanks so much for putting up with my crazy bossiness…If the number of images in this peek aren't any indication, I thought you rocked it sir!
Have a great week, more peeks coming today and tomorrow!
Enjoy!

I met these good folks last year, right before they welcomed baby Peyton. I think these pics turned out awesome, not just because Mr. Peyton was pretty smiley for the first part, because he did that awesome. But also, because he completely rocks the serious face. Last year, for his first Christmas pics, he did not peep a smile the entire time, until the last few shots where we stripped him down to his diaper. Some kids are just particular that way, and I think it's great. Kids come from day one with their own personalities and it's up to us to help them flourish. I've loved getting to know Peyton over the last year and I love his smiles, as well as his smolder. And while I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm a bit nuts, he sure is a chill, sweet boy to get to hang out with.
Thanks mom & dad for taking the time to get together!

I can't believe that it's been 4 years since I took Mr. Colton's 1st Birthday portraits. Time has flown by so fast! Little did I know how much I would come to care for this sweet family. Little Lola was added to the family last year and she adds so much spunk to some already awesome folks. I loved the photos of her with big brother. So gorgeous, and I don't think that I've ever seen someone so excited to be hugged by their big brother (or is it a headlock… with siblings you never can be sure…)! Thanks so much guys. I really appreciate being able to catch up and capture your family...
