Class of 2013: Sneak Peek

It's that time of year again folks. The beginning of the seniors-to-be. It's like a fun parade of fashion and gorgeousness. I always think what ever session I am doing is my favorite, but I guess it's just because every type of session is so different that I love them all for completely different reasons. I love doing senior sessions because they always come dressed to the nines, and it gives me a crash course on current trends. I also love the energy you get from the youth of today. They are set to conquer the world and it's always to see how the next year unfolds with college, etc. 

 This sneak peek is for Miss Paris. She was completely gorgeous, and oh so polite. She even texts politely. Sweet sweet girl. Beautiful inside and out... 

Prepare yourself for the wedding march that begins next week for the next few weeks. There's lots of love in this blogs future...

Is summertime here yet?!?

The last week has completely flown by. That coupled with the fact that it's been crazy hot here the last day or so makes me excited for summertime. No more running back and forth to school, hanging out by the pool, & vacations. It's gonna be exciting. 

I feel like the last month has been a blur with all the work that's been going on. It's been awesome to get together with some old friends, and to meet some new ones. We had the full gammet of photography this week: newborns, babies, families, senior portraits, & of course lots of children. If this weeks sneak peek gives you any indication of how busy the last week has been, well, it's no wonder I'm ready for some vacation, right? Forget a vacation, I think I'd be excited about a full nights sleep at this point. Can you spot my little chunk? He turned 4 months last week, so we took some time to capture him as well. Busy is good, I feel blessed to be able to laugh and see folks at their best and help them tell their story.

Here We Go Again...

 

When I started this sneak peek thing, I didn't think that would be all this blog was. Oh well, all you can do is try I suppose! 


This past week has been CRAZY! But oh so good. I had the chance to meet some amazing folks last weekend, and reunite with some old favs. Saturday was a blast. I can't remember when the last time I laughed so much. So much energy and complete gorgeousness. The weather was perfect and I completely love seeing folks get all dolled up. So fun. 

Everynight this week it's been late. Staying up til 1 in the morning editing, getting woken up by baby at 3, then up with the rest of the crew around 7 to begin the normal day. Like I said, it's been a crazy week. I feel like I barely got these sneak peeks done in the nick of time...More blogging to come from last weeks sessions this week! I can't wait to finish all these up, but for now I am off to veg with a little TV before getting to sleep early...

Sneak Peeks Anyone?

So I've never been one for sneak peeks. Why you ask? Well, for one thing, I've always prided myself on the fact that I can edit sessions fairly quickly. Mind you, the washing and dishes don't get done very well, but I like to get a gallery posted back to clients within 5 days, a week at the most.

This year the fact that I am busier than ever with three kids, coupled with the fact that I've been more in demand than last year means that I've been booking more sessions than I probably should, and that just means it's taken longer to get them edited. But I just can't turn anyone away! It's a fantastic problem to have, and I just feel so honored that folks like my work enough that they want to have me capture their sweet families, memories, milestones, whatever the case may be...Like I said, it's a good problem. Secondly, I've always had this fear that by sharing an image from the session it takes away from the wow factor of when you see it all together. Because it is a collection, and just because I like an image doesn't mean it will be your favorite. That coupled with the fact that I usually edit a session in order as they come means I usually don't touch one session til the other is done. Phew, that was a mouthful, right?

Well, this week I've decided to do things a little differently...I'm going to start posting sneak peeks from the past week on Wednesdays, and then I can blog about the session later when it's completely done. And hopefully, it will get folks excited about things to come (as well as forgive me for taking a few days longer...) You get a taste, and I can justify picking a fun image to play with while they are downloading and I'm sorting out the great from the exceptionally amazing. So without further adu, I'd like to present the first in a series of...
