For Emily: Memphis, TN Maternity Photographer

Last weekend I got to hang out with these two awesome folks. I have been friends with them for years and was so excited to be able to capture the excitement and awe of expecting not one, but two sweet little girls. There is something so amazing about the pregnancy process. It's crazy to think of all the amazing things the human body is capable of. It's crazy to think of all the things you are capable of. You find yourself having strength and courage to do seemingly impossible things, even before your children arrive. Emily was glowing and gorgeous. Jamie and Emily are going to be the best parents, I just know it. They are both teachers and love working with kids, so I know they are going to rock it. 

Beautiful venue, easy going folks and some fabulous sunset lighting made for a great session.

For Dee: Memphis, TN Maternity Photographer

Last week, I got to spend a little bit of time with a couple of folks I've known and loved for the last 20 years or so. Ron and I were friends in high school, and I met Dee while we were both in the young adult program at church. These are both two amazing individuals that I am so proud to know. And I'm so excited to help them document the arrival of their sweet baby Ruby in a few months. Thanks guys for taking the time to get together, with all the craziness of moving overseas. I can't even imagine. And thanks Dee for being so glamourous. I loved way to many of these images. They were beautiful, and I loved our visit.

Welcoming Kai: Arlington, TN Maternity Photographer

Two weeks ago today actually, I got to meet this awesome family and help them capture the new addition that would soon be arriving (and that actually has already come. We met today, and he is completely adorable.. but that is another blog post all together!). March rain could not keep this from happening. We'd already rescheduled because of the snow days, but you can really procrastinate maternity pics. It's like playing with a ticking time bomb. I thought big sister was gorgeous, and completely loved how much she is loved by both Mom & Dad. Both she and her new little brother are very blessed. Thanks guys for being so easy going both before and today!

For Carol: Memphis, TN Family Photographer

A while back I got to meet Carol & Jeff. I was referred to them by a friend to shoot their wedding, and it was a great day. Completely beautiful, and completely chill. A lot like these guys are all the time in real life, so it was a pleasure. I was so excited when they reached out again, wanting fall pics of the family and to celebrate their upcoming new arrival! Congrats guys. I was great to see you both, as always, and so fun to catch up. 

Folks always say that when you're pregnant you've got "the glow". I have to say that being pregnant a couple times myself, I don't believe it when they say things like that. I was in awe though, while editing these because of how fantastic Carol looked. I thought she looked stunning and completely gorgeous! 

Thanks again for getting together! I can't wait to meet little one in January!

I love fall. Cute clothes, great color, cooler weather. It's awesome. Is there any wonder why I love fall, when I get to hang out with awesome people like our M family here? 

We've known these folks for forever, and it's so fun to see their family grow as our own has. Having grown up around Mom & Dad, it is great to see the next generation of kids emerging and being so good. I loved having the chance to capture their sweet family. The dynamic of sisters is amazing, and I enjoy watching how these sweet girls look out for each other. Good thing too, because they have another little sister coming in a few months… I can't wait to meet her! 

Thanks so much M family for getting together again, I always have a lot of fun, and love how you guys always look so fantastic! It's a tough job being so gorgeous…

Cooper Family Peek: Memphis, Maternity Photographer

Last week, I got to hang out with these cute folks before the rain descended on our everyday lives, as it has for the last few days. It was so much fun to meet dad to the Cooper girls, and to see everyone be so excited to welcome baby brother soon. Thanks guys for being such good sports, with all the muggy May weather we've got going on around here. I am so excited about how these images turned out, it's got me thinking maybe we should have our own family maternity session. Though I'm not sure I'd look as fantastic!
