She is was one week old when we met up last week to try and capture all her adorable newness. She is most certainly surrounded by lots and lots of love. It was fun for me to see her older siblings interacting with little miss, just because they are similar in age to how my own will be when our little one arrives in December. Crazy how cute this family is! But how can they not be when you see gorgeous mom & dad? Thanks so much P family for letting me take over your home, pretty much move everything around and for the gorgeous family and props to work with. I've got to get me a back drop as awesome as your curtains! Congrats on the new little one! May she continue to be such a joy and fun addition to an already amazing family. (and I wish you much sleep, mom!)

Meet Logan: Memphis, TN Newborn Photographer

This little guy was three weeks old when we finally got together. Such a cute little one. The last two newborn sessions I have done have been not at my place, but I've been venturing out more to the homes of parents, and have been completely thrilled with the results. I love the challenge of working with lighting, and the diversity of props and such that you can be inspired by when you are in a completely foreign location. It didn't hurt that this mom has her home decked out like it's a showroom from the pottery barn catalog. I love it when little ones already have their mind made up about what they do & don't like. It just further solidifies my own theory that they come down from day one with their own little personalities. Thanks M family for opening up your home, to dad for taking big sister shopping and to the library so we could work, and for mom letting me rearrrange and play in your lovely home. Great family, sweet baby. Who could ask for more?

Meet Adelaide : Memphis, TN Newborn Photographer

I met this little sweet cheeks in June. Gasp! Yes, I am that behind in bloggin folks. She was such a sweet little gal, and when I call her sweet cheeks, it's because I completely fell in love with her little cheeks and gorgeous eyes. She was such a good sport with all the moving and shaking that we had going on. And I loved that her mommy came prepared with her very own tutu dress. So fun. Thanks Mom! It really was a treat getting to visit with you and little miss here. Congrats to big brother and family on their new arrival!

Baby T has arrived: Memphis, TN Photographer

So you probably remember these gorgeous folks from a month or so ago, well, it's time for you to meet the newest member of their family. Baby T came for a visit two weeks ago, and he really was such a sweet little guy. He did so well with all the moving and shaking that we have to do to get things just right. I always hold my breath when I meet these little ones, because while they are still so new, they most certainly come with their own little personalities right from the start. And knowing how adverse his dad was to picture taking, I was hoping it wouldn't be genetic! No worries, he rocked the shoot, and mom was great too! I love it when parents are laid back and willing to be patient! It makes all the difference. Love all that gorgeous hair and baby boy sweetness! Enjoy your little one, he only stays small for so long. It feels like you blink and they are off running.

Maternity for Li

So yesterday was my friend Li's birthday, and so I decided to wrap up her session. So much cuteness, and I have to say, that little girl is going to be taken care of (read: PROTECTED) by these two big brothers. Adorable. They both love to kiss on mom's belly, and the youngest even takes on the role of belly translator. Did you know that you can listen really close and hear baby inside laughing and crying? Maybe, maybe not, who's to say? Either way, I think it's so sweet. I can't wait to see pics of the little angel. It breaks my heart that we won't get to meet as soon as she's born. Best of luck friend. Know that I am pushing lots of mom of three good karma your way!

G Family Maternity Session: Memphis, TN Photographer

Right before heading off the Seattle, I got to meet these lovely folks! They are having their first hopefully this week! Mr. T is due to arrive any day now, and I was in awe that this soon to be mommy was already 38 weeks. You look absolutely amazing M! It really was great meeting you both, and thanks to J for being such a good sport. It's always a little more exciting for the moms to have pictures done ( I think that's always the case) but you were so good to humor me in all my sit heres, climb there, look this way, and all that! Easter 2011: Memphis TN Photographer

So you got to see my most favorite outtake on Monday last week, my kids how they are sometimes. I can't even say most of the time, because they really are good little guys. But here are just a few of the reasons that I love them. We really did have a great day out with friends just trying to capture them as they really are. As you can see my little two year old, he's always on the run. And that's just how he really is. And Miss K. Well, she's a dream model. Usually is actually. She loves to have her hair fixed, wear dresses. Such a fun age. I love them both. Happy spring my loves!

In response to a few email's I've received, I wanted to share a little May love. Say you held off from booking a session last month because Easter was insane, or maybe you just wanted to have a little sun for your portraits. Whatever held you back, here's the deal.

Book before May 1st, meaning talk to me before Saturday ends, and I will honor the April deal of a mini session that includes:

40 minutes of custom photography

1 FREE 8x10 Print

2 FREE 5x7 Prints

at the mini-session price of only $50.00

It pretty much makes the sitting fee FREE because you make it up in free print credits. As for the month of May, I've only got 1 spots open for mini-sessions

Saturday, May 7th, at 5:00 p.m.

Once these spots are gone then I'll remove them from the above list. Sessions are limited to 5 people. Any more will be subject to an additional charge. If you'd like to book for June or July that is great too, though it's probably going to be quite a bit hotter. I'm game if you are though! It can be anytime in the next few months, it just needs to be set up by Saturday night! Can't wait to meet you!
