For Alayna: Memphis, TN Family Photographer

It's always great to get together with folks you knew way back when. It's really nice to see them all grown up, married and having kids. It's so much fun to get to catch up! I got to spend last Saturday getting to know these folks better. Alayna and I were friends from way back when we were in hight school and its was really cool to get to meet her husband and his sweet family.

It was the first of three large family groups that I got to work on in November and the big family shoots can be kinda tricky. You've got to make sure you get all the combos they want, you are limited on how far you can go out because it just takes so much time to move a larger group as well as the set up of all the shots. So much to think about! It used to really be stressful, but I've really enjoyed the laid back folks I've gotten to work with this fall. Good folks make great pictures.

For Ursula: Memphis, TN Family Photographer

Last weekend I got to meet this new family. Their older daughter is actually in my sons class at school, so I had a good time telling lots of crazy stories about my crazy kid. He makes our life interesting. The R family had the sweetest girls. I think that sisters are so special, and I loved being able to capture their friendship. Little sister looks up to her big sister so much, it's completely adorable. The colors were beautiful when we got together and I love how their session turned out. Mom and Dad were pretty great too, so easy to chat with and easy going. It makes for a great session when mom and dad don't get easily stressed.

The H Family: Memphis, TN Family Photographer

I am getting so excited about all the fall family sessions coming up. I love meeting new folks, but it is so much fun to get to visit with folks that I already know and LOVE! We had a great time last weekend with the H family. I helped capture Jeff and Carol's wedding a couple of years ago, and it's been so fun to see their sweet Mason grow from newborn til now. The first year goes so fast. I thought their session was fantastic but my favs were hands down the sweet mom and baby shots we did at the end. There is something special about the mom and baby bond. So sweet. Thanks for the great morning!

For Amy: Memphis, TN Family Photographer

Last week began the end of my self-declared September vacation. It's been fantastic just to have break, get back into the swing of school, and play with my littles. 

I thought I'd celebrate the kick off of fall by giving Amy a sneak peak of her session. I'm about halfway done, and pretty much love them all. My first session back was with these fantastic people. We've not gotten together for a few years and it was so nice to see them again, and to see all their adorable kids. We even had Grandma and Grandpa tag along for the ride. It's always a little crazy with kids. It's part of the package, but I was so impressed with how well behaved these folks were. Thanks Ryan and Amy for braving the chaos to get together.

For Cheryl: Memphis, TN Family Photographer

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet these folks many years ago through church. I've always thought the world of them. They are completely beautiful inside and out. Since we've moved away and come back, all their kids have left home and are off adventuring. It was so much fun to get to see them, and to laugh. If there is anything I can say about this family, it is that they are some of the happiest folks I know. Always there to offer encouragement and a smile. And funny, yep, they are pretty dang funny when they all get together. I had a great time, and hope they did too.
