To the Happy Couple, Lynn & Danny: Memphis, TN Wedding Photographer

Two weeks ago I got to meet some pretty special folks. I was contacted from a friend of a friend to help out with a wedding, because the other photographer fell through. It's one of those times that I feel providence had a direct hand in my life because I know I was meant to capture this day for these amazing people. 

Lynn and Danny had a beautiful evening that was a complete celebration of love and friendship. I was honored to capture their ceremony, it brought tears to my eyes to hear the songs and beautiful words that were spoken. Their family was special. The love of family and friends is always my favorite to capture, because it's such a beautiful bond. I LOVED Danny's car, and the great shots we were able to get with it. I loved seeing how much Lynn and Danny welcomed their friends and family to their reception. There was not a time that they weren't hugging someone and listening to their stories. It was great to see folks from all walks of life celebrate these two having found one another. The flowers were gorgeous, the dancing, the cake, was all done with such elegance and class and I enjoyed every minute of being there.

Rebekkah + Vance: The Reception, Memphis, TN Wedding Photographer

Last blog post folks. Thanks so much for hanging in there. The night ended with lots of folks that came out to celebrate Rebekkah and Vance. There were so many great moments, that it was really hard to narrow it down here. Something that was funny to me, is I've never been worked so much by a couple, because the groom wanted to make sure he got a photo with pretty much everyone that attended his reception, myself included. And in all my time as photographer, I can honestly say that no one has ever asked for a photo with me. It was sweet and I am so grateful to have been able to capture these two folks.  Gorgeous night, gorgeous folks make for some great photography.

Rebekkah + Vance: More Bridals, Memphis, TN Wedding Photographer

I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but Bridal sessions are truly my favorite to shoot, so might as well see some more of those from the reception day, right? We just had a moment to shoot a few couples shots before the ring ceremony got started and I thought they turned out pretty cute. The groom loves golf, so it was too good of a chance to pass up! These two folks truly are perfect for one another.

After we got done with the bridal party and first look, the rain started to clean enough that we could take family shots actually on the golf course. I loved the lighting of all these images and thought everyone looked amazing in their tuxedos and dresses. Gorgeous family.

I've done my share of weddings. I've seen lots of different folks, and it's always interesting to see how things are different and the same. In all my experience, I've never had a wedding party that was this large. There ended up being over 20 people in the wedding party, and it presented it's own set of challenges. It's tough trying to make that many folks just not look like a mob of people, but I loved how close everyone was and the gorgeousness that was present. It says a lot of the bride and groom, that they were surrounded by so many great friends and family.
