One of my only concerns with working and being oh so pregnant, is that I view my job to be 40% technical know how, and 60% creativity. I know those who haven't had kids might not understand this but when you are pregnant, sometimes it's all you can do to go through the motions with all the energy that is sapped from you, much less try and do it with a little flair...And I love the flair. The last month of sessions has had me excited. I made a promise to myself that if I got to tired, or wasn't being inspired - I would throw in the towel. But that hasn't happened yet, so I haven't quit. It's been a great fall season. I love capturing the amazing. Every session is exciting. New, different folks. Breaking the barrier between formal and familiar with clients. Different lighting and weather. All of these challenges are why I love what I do. And sometimes I feel lucky enough that the stars align, all is right in my photography world, and then you have pure magic happen.
Meet the A family. They won their session at a silent auction back in April. We've been trying to get it together since then, but with 5 kids, you can imagine their lives are pretty hectic. I've known these folks since the days I was in high school, before they had kids, and I LOVE that we could have so much fun at their session. Great spot, lots to do. Big kids that could climb and listened oh so well. It was heaven. Thanks so much A family. Billy & Heidi, I think you're amazing and want to be just like you when I grow up. Have a great weekend!
